This is the announcing script for the annual prize giving of Buonavista College 2023. You may make changes accordingly and use for an annual prize giving. I must remind the kind heart who supported me with a model, so I am sharing this model for anyone who find it useful.
Opening: (Sehas and Yasasvi) – after the arrival of the guests.
Yasasvi: Sun warms high, it is summer time, the harbinger of mellow fruitfulness. The days are set to reap the harvest of hard work of Buonavistians during the year 2023.
Sehas: We long waited for such a day of recognition, a sun ray for budding saplings to grow and become gigantic trees. Yes, the day has finally arrived.
Both: yes, get set, let us raise and shine with true colours of Buonavistians. This is the Annual Prize Giving of the year 2023.
Principal’s speech (sehas and vindi)
Vindi: Stage is illuminated for a moment of pride and joy. Let us not forget that a ship needs a great captain to sail towards the right direction.
Sehas: Indeed, it has been his first and foremost intention to give the due recognition to the students who deserve it. He is none other than our new principal Mr. R.G. Premarathne.
Vindi: Dear sir, we invite you to the stage with pride, to welcome our distinguished guests and all who have arrived here to grace the occasion.
Sehas: (after the speech) Thank you very much sir.
Prize giving phase 01 (sehas and yasasvi)
Sehas: I can feel the heartbeat of enthusiasm and joy. Let me congratulate you first my brothers and sisters. You have shown great commitment and shed your sweat and tears to thrive and sit here today. It is high time to see the world who you are.
Yasasvi: It is time to recognize the students who have excelled exceptionally well at curricular and co-curricular activities.

Vindi: This is indeed a moment of wonderment. Let us sugar-coat the moment with an enchanting performance of dance. We now open the stage for the school dancing unit to please your eyes and minds with a wonderful dancing performance.

Yasasvi: Wonderful demonstration of art and music. We should thank Mr. Viraj and the dancing unit for making the occasion more delightful.
Prize giving phase 02 (yasasvi and vindi)
Yasasvi: The glory continuous, now we are moving to the second phase of our annual prize giving.

Yasasvi: Dear brothers and sisters, you are the glory and pride of our Buonavistian mother. You have made your teachers and parents proud. We should again be thankful for the principal and the teachers who have worked hard and organized such a memorable day for us.
Vindi: Well, as this is a time of joy and contentment, let us invite our western music unit to fill the hall with their wonderful musical choir.
Yasasvi: Thank you very much, we should be thankful for Miss. Stephanie Grabau and the western unit for putting up such a wonderful show.

Sehas: Every gem needs a final touch to enhance its value. Even a small praise of recognition is what needed for a person to boost his or her true potential.
Yasasvi: Now we move forward to the third phase of our annual prize giving.

Mr. Karunarathne Ganewatta memorial award (vindi and yasasvi)
Vindi: He had been the visionary, the innovator, and the father of resurrected Buonavista college. Though he had departed from us, his name will never be erased from the hearts of true Buonavistians. He is our former principal, Mr. Karunarathne Ganewatte.
Yasasvi: That’s true Vindi, it is time for a special moment of our prize giving. To award Mr. Karunarathne Ganewatta Memorial award to the school junior drama group who won the third place at zonal level, I warmly welcome ……………………………………………………, ………………………………………………… to the stage.
